Which track applies to you?

ECOWAS Officials & Delegates

No visa required. Citizens of ECOWAS Member States enter under the Protocol on Free Movement of Persons.
Travel on a valid national passport (official/diplomatic or ordinary) — minimum six months' validity recommended.
Present your summit accreditation at the dedicated ECOWAS delegate lanes at Freetown International Airport.
Yellow fever certificate is required for all arrivals

Non-ECOWAS Officials & Partners

Apply online before travel via the official Sierra Leone eVisa portal: www.evisa.sl.
Holders of diplomatic or official passports should additionally coordinate through the nearest Sierra Leonean mission or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs via note verbale.
A facilitated clearance desk for accredited summit delegates will operate at the airport — confirm arrangements with the Summit Secretariat when accreditation is approved.
Passport validity of at least six months and a yellow fever certificate are required.
